Bingo Fundraiser Success!
Bingo Fundraiser Success!
I want to start with a huge thank you to all our supporters that helped make our first Bingo Night a success! This year we decided to try bingo in place of trivia. While we love trivia, bingo was very well received. In addition to the new format we also changed the venue.
The event took place at Johnny’s Supper Club in Elgin, and thanks to George Othon and his AWESOME staff, we had a great night of friends, food and FUNdraising.
Our event this year raised a record amount of money to help our family in Guatemala with their healthcare needs, including a clean water initiative and a vehicle to support their medical needs.
Some highlights of the evening included the original Guatemalan artwork purchased by the Carani brothers, Kevin and Paul. The always-popular Bears tickets were won in a raffle basket by Connor McEnery. The donated Joe Dimaggio autographed baseball was also won by Valerie Halston.
Lastly, We were able to have Hector Barrios, all the way from Guatemala, at our event. Hector is our ever faithful and devoted missionary on the ground and without him we would not be able to serve the needs of the people.
Congratulations to these faithful supporters!
It cannot be said enough-without your support, none of this would be possible.
God bless you and your family,
Melissa Baumgartner, Fundraising Chair and the Healing Hands Medical Mission Team
