Participant Meeting Success

We have about 10 new participants this year! Thank you to our newbies Rochelle, Susana, Paul, and Maria for coming yesterday, as well as 7 veterans. We hope to see the rest of you who couldn’t make it this coming Thursday (Feb. 23rd), 7pm at St. Patrick Crane Road Church.

Blood Pressure Screenings

Tomorrow afternoon, our Healing Hands President will be presented with Northwestern Medicine’s 38th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Humanitarian Awards Program for his hard work and dedication to this mission. We are all very thankful for him.

Support Us Through Amazon Smile!

Hi! As most of you know our medical mission has a significant impact on the health of the indigenous Mayan population of San Antonio de Padua Parish. Our most recent initiative is to educate and provide supplies to the 40 nurse midwives who serve the 80 villages in the area. The rural population has a high maternal and infant mortality rate which is compounded by lack of prenatal care, lack of supplies for pre and post natal care, and that the nearest hospital is over 3 hours away by dirt road.
